Our Final Night In Atlanta

I do not know why, but I do not feel a sense of urgency about the upcoming trip.  My mind does not comprehend that it is time to go to India already.  I know that I will come to grips with reality when I sit on the aircraft tomorrow afternoon.  Today, I spent most of my day at home writing blogs and printing things.  I took a look at our blog today and I am really pleased because it looks phenomenal. I am going to finish packing tomorrow morning and then go to get my haircut.  Everything should be good to go, but I am not looking forward to a 17-hour flight.  I went to India last summer and the flight there was agonizing.  It is not something I need to whine about because there was a time when you could only get there by sea.

Before we depart, I wanted to talk a little bit about Indian currency.  In India, the currency is called the rupee.  One dollar is equivalent to about 41 rupees.  The paper bills come in several denominations including 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000.  The 1,000-rupee bill is rarely used and seen.  If you would like to convert to Indian rupees click here to use a currency converter.  All of the paper bills have a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi on them.  Pictured below is a 500-note rupee.
