On this occasion, we made a visit to Brij Datalink. Mr. C.S. Subramanian started the software services company in 1999. He worked for Southern Company in Atlanta and then decided to move to Chennai. When he arrived in India, he had no intention on starting his own business, but saw an opportunity and decided to pursue it.
90% of BD’s clients are from the United States. Mr. Subramanian used several his U.S. contacts to conduct his business. Building relationships and contacts is a constant theme throughout this entrepreneurship trip. This concept is vital if a person wants to start their business because they cannot do it alone. I always knew that business contacts were important, but now I can truly understand how valuable they are.
