Ramanagaram and Channapatna are small towns in the state of Karnataka about 45 kms. and 60 kms. respectively, southwest of Bangalore (on the Bangalore – Mysore highway). Here you will see the entire silk products supply chain, starting with the cocoons upto the weaving of silk threads into cloth. Ramanagaram has the biggest cocoon market in Asia.
